Where the money comes from — and where it goes
CHOC is in the planning and fundraising phase. Here's exactly how we're funded today, how we plan to sustain ourselves, and what every donation makes possible.
How CHOC is funded
Donations (active now): our GoFundMe campaign is CHOC's lifeline while we're in the planning and fundraising phase, funding the early build of the platform.
Grant funding (planned): once CHOC is formally established, we intend to apply for Irish and European grant funding for community and health innovation.
Sustainable service revenue (planned at launch): the Care Planner subscription and CHOC Connect bookings are designed to make CHOC self-sustaining, so the free Central Hub keeps running without relying on donations forever.
What your donation helps build
Building the free, searchable Central Hub of every Irish care entitlement and service, in plain English.
Garda vetting, reference checks and qualification reviews for every carer on CHOC Connect.
The legal, governance and safeguarding foundations a trusted care organisation needs.
Keeping the Central Hub free for every family carer in Ireland — no registration, no paywall, ever.
Our commitments to donors
Donations fund the services themselves — the Hub, the vetting of carers, and the foundations of the organisation.
The Central Hub will always be free to use; it will never sit behind a paywall.
CHOC Connect will show transparent hourly pricing upfront, before any booking is confirmed.
As plans are refined, we'll keep this page honest and current.
